About Patricia Rich, LCSW, CST
Patricia Rich, LCSW, founder of the Relating Well Center,LLC is a therapist with over twenty years of professional experience. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and earned a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago. She completed a post-graduate externship in marriage and family therapy at the Institute for Juvenile Research at the University of Illinois in Chicago, as well as a certificate program in sex therapy at Council for Relationships in Philadelphia. She is currently pursuing certification in Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS) in which she has trained extensively.
In addition to private practice, she has worked in community mental health centers in clinical and supervisory positions, and served the mental health and care management needs of older adults and their caregivers through The Abramson Center for Jewish Life. She has worked with individuals, couples, and families at all stages of the lifespan.
She engages in ongoing training related to intimacy, relationships, healing, and sexuality and enjoys sharing current information with her clients during the course of therapy. She has been a presenter at the Smart Marriages conference, AASECT, and others, and has taught relationship skills in a variety of settings.
Patty’s style is friendly and collaborative. She combines caring, compassion, and deep listening with specific suggestions, strategies, and feedback that help people to feel better and make progress toward their goals. She helps people to get to the heart of their concerns and to make meaningful changes in their lives.
She has been married for twenty years and has two children.
