Founder of the Relating Well Center, LLC, Patricia Rich is passionate about helping people to deepen connections within themselves and with partners in order to live more harmonious and fulfilling lives. She is guided by the Internal Family Systems model (IFS), principles of positive sexuality, embodied practices, and a social justice lens. She is formulating a model for Self-Led Sexuality that helps people to navigate sexuality in a wise, expansive and centered way.
Patty’s style is collaborative and empowering. She combines caring, compassion, and deep listening with specific suggestions, strategies, and feedback that help people to feel better and make progress toward their goals. She helps people to get to the heart of their concerns and to make meaningful changes in their lives. She welcomes clients of diverse ethnicities, backgrounds, ages, genders and sexual orientations.
She has over twenty years of professional experience as a therapist, educator and consultant. She graduated from the University of Michigan with Phi Beta Kappa designation, and earned a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago. She completed a post-graduate externship in marriage and family therapy at the Institute for Juvenile Research at the University of Illinois in Chicago, as well as a certificate program in sex therapy at Council for Relationships in Philadelphia. She is certified by AASECT as a Sex Therapist and Supervisor of Sex Therapy. She has also completed Levels 1, 2, and 3 of Internal Family Systems training (IFS) and is a Certified IFS Therapist and Consultant.
Patricia offers individual and group consultation to therapists and other professionals and has presented at national conferences including AASECT, IFS, and Smart Marriages. Participants often comment on the clarity, warmth, insight, and usefulness of her presentations.
She has been married for over twenty years and raised two children.
